I create illustrations using a variety of media, such as, drawing with dip pen, ink and watercolour, collage, 3D figures and printmaking. I love the physical process of manipulating materials to make sense of the shapes and forms I am trying to obtain as I build up a composition. My practice is primarily concerned with exploring narratives of the everyday, I attempt to express the importance of small detail and humour through my work by creating characters to tell the story. I am inspired by many Mid Century British artists, I am influenced by the design, colour and textures of the lithographs, pattern, subject matter, and humour of their work.
